Alphacrucis College Philippines (ACPH) in partnership with Asia Pacific Theological Seminary  (APTS) is a multidisciplinary Christian college shaping and forming students for vocations in Ministry, Theology, Business, and Leadership

How to Apply?

The steps below guide you through how to apply for study at Alphacrucis College (AC). Admission Support is available for any questions you might have about your application or enrollment.

Our website has information on each course offered. You can explore this at www.alphcrucisph.com/courses/. Some courses have specific pre-requisites so be sure to check out the Admissions Requirements and the course specific handbook before applying.

What is a certified document?

A certified (notarized) document is a copy of an original document, such as a birth certificate, academic transcript or proof of identity, that has been authorised (or stamped) as being a true copy of an original.

In order to process any admission applications, our Application Officers will need to receive a certified copy of your identification documents (e.g. passport/birth certificate) and any academic documents (e.g. transcript). If you have completed previous study at AC, you are not required to certify your academic documents.

Who can certify my documents?

There is a wide range of authorised occupations and office holders who may certify a document both within and outside of Australia. These include Accountants, Bank Managers, Barristers, Ministers/Clergymen, Police Officers or School Principals.

To obtain certified copies of your documents, you will need to take both an original and a photocopied version of the document to an appropriate authorised person. They will certify that the photocopy is a true copy of the original. The certification should include a statement such as “This is a true copy of the original document sighted by me” and include the name and address, contact phone number, profession or occupation of the person who certifies the documentation and date signed.

Once you have chosen your course of study, you will need to apply direct to ACPH. Download and fill out the necessary field of the form. After which, send it to ac@apts.edu together with the certified documents.

Your application will be assessed by one of AC’s Application Officers. They will respond to you via email within 2-4 working days, either with a request for more information.

Admission Requirements

Applicants are advised to consult the relevant Alphacrucis PH (ACPH) Course of Study Handbook for course specific academic entry requirements provided below.

Applicants must meet at least one of the entry categories below:

  • Recent Secondary Education
    Completion of NSW Higher School Certificate with an ATAR of no less than 65, or the completion of the interstate or overseas equivalent qualification and result, or equivalent.
  • Vocational Education and Training
    Completion of an AQF Level 4 Certificate IV or higher by an authorized institution or registered training organisation.
  • Higher Education 
    Completion of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree or higher by an authorized institution.
  • Work and Life Experience
    Applicants aged 21+ may be eligible for on the basis of mature age (provisional entry). These students will need to successfully complete their first 4 subjects to be permitted to continue without the Provisional Entry restrictions.

If your first language is English or if you can provide satisfactory evidence that English was the medium of instruction in your secondary or tertiary studies (secondary or tertiary studies completed within 2 years at the time of your commencement at AC), you may be considered as meeting the requirement of proficiency in English.

If English is not your first language or was not the medium of instruction in your secondary or tertiary studies, you are required to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language by achieving a prescribed level in an approved English examination or test. Your English language proficiency test must be no more than two years old at the time you commence your studies at AC.

 

AC accepts the following English language proficiency test:

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  • PTE (Pearson Test of English)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced)

 

Students are required to have attained an International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) score or equivalent according to the criterion noted below:

  • Undergraduate/Bachelor Courses
    6.5 overall score, minimum 6.0 in each subtest

Applicants are encouraged to contact the International Student Office if they are unsure of the equivalence of their English language proficiency test scores.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) standards

AC’s Language, Literacy and Numeracy Policy outlines the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) standards for Vocational Education and Training (VET) students. Minimum LLN standards are stated in the relevant course admission requirements.

 

Computer literacy and internet access

AC students require access to computer and internet facilities, as written assignments are submitted online in typescript with some assignments requiring database and internet research.

 

Student Profile

The Student Profile gives an indication of the likely peer cohort for new students at AC. It provides data on students that commenced study and passed the census date in the most relevant recent intake period for which data are available, including those admitted through all offer rounds and international students studying in Australia.

Financing Your Study

Your journey to further study is unique. Whether you are studying for the first time since High School or shifting from other undergraduate courses, there are a number of elements to consider when financing your study. Below is a summary of the various ways you may finance your studies at Alphacrucis Philippines.

You can pay by direct deposit to our Business account via Credit/Debit card or pay directly to the business office:

  • Atleast 50% of the total must be paid first at the time of enrollment before the start of the semester.

Scholarships are awarded to a small number of students every year. They are awarded on the basis of demonstrated academic, ministry and leadership excellence. Scholarships may also be awarded to students who would otherwise be unable to afford the cost of tuition. Scholarships needs to be approved by ACPH, please contact ac@apts.edu for more information.

Sponsor details need to be provided to AC Registry team at the time of enrolment. Your enrolment will be processed prior to payment but your sponsor will be contacted straight away on the details provided. If payment is not made prior to commencement, the student will be withdrawn from their study.
